Bollard Pull Test
Bollard Pull is a measure of a vessel’s pulling power, similar to the horsepower rating in conventional vehicle engines. It is defined as the thrust generated by a vessel's propulsion system when the vessel is at zero forward speed.
Bollard pull is measured by connecting the vessel's towing system to a fixed bollard on a pier, and the force or tension generated is measured using a load cell or similar device.
